Job Title: Pre-Press Technician

Salary: Salary dependent on experience and skills
We are looking for a Pre Press Technician to join our client's business team. The position is full time, 40 hours per week, based around shift work (including nights and weekend). Ideally the candidate will be familiar with handling data ( e.g PDF’s) using photoshop, InDesign, Quark.
The successful candidate will have the skills to:
• Receive and manage electronic files accurately via IT data handling, within the quality parameters to achieve set deadlines (system training will be provided).
• Produce accurate quality printing plates to achieve set deadlines.
• Meet production deadlines through prioritising work whilst ensuring that the Shift Leader / Supervisor is informed of potential risks of missing deadlines.
• Clean and maintain Computer to Plate equipment in accordance with departmental set procedures
• Carry out departmental operations in accordance with departmental procedures, systems of work.
Candidates will have:
• A confident telephone manner to communicate with our wide range of customers.
• Ability to meet customers’ requirements through liaising with the customer, the in house sales team and production personnel regarding queries, changes or amendments.
• Ability and initiative to work without close supervision
• A flexible attitude to work
